UCC staff run set for Saturday

The 21st annual UCC Staff road race takes place tomorrow, starting at 11am. Organised under the rules of the Cork BHAA, it takes place over the 10km distance on the Lee Road/Carrigrohane Road circuit.

Changing, registration, refreshments and prize giving will be in the Lee Maltings, near to the Mercy Hospital at the city end of the Mardyke. Last entries will be taken at 10.40am to allow competitors plenty of time to get to the race start at the ‘Shaky Bridge’, Sundays Well.

Last year, over 150 took part with victories going to Martin McCarthy (31:26) and Veronica Hourihan (39:02).
