Service resumes for Irish tennis

The domestic tennis season is now in full swing with a series of Senior Open Tournaments scheduled right up to the end of season Danone Masters event (August 25-27) in Fitzwilliam.

The premier tournaments in this series are all qualifying events for the Danone Masters and this week the action moves to Limerick for the South of Ireland Championships.

The draw in Limerick is particularly good with Yvonne Doyle and Elsa Ó Riain seeded to meet in Saturday’s final. Local ladies Clodagh McMorrow and Emma Murphy will also feature in the later rounds while the men’s draw shows youngsters James Cluskey, James McGee and Barry King all intent on preventing Colin O’Brien and Conor Taylor from contesting the men’s final.
