2027 Irish Open confirmed for early July

The DP World Tour has confirmed that the 2027 Amgen Irish Open at the K Club will be held from July 1 - 4. It moves from its recent September slot to July due to the Ryder Cup, which is being played at Adare Manor from September 17-19.
The Irish Open will be played two weeks after the US Open at Pebble Beach and will start a three-week run also featuring the Genesis Scottish Open and The Open at St Andrews.
Rory McIlroy has won both of his Irish Open titles - 2016 and 2025 - at the K Club. The latter was won in a play-off against Joakim Lagergren after McIlroy forced the extra holes with a dramatic eagle on the 18th.
McIlroy prefers the September date for the Irish Open. He will play at the K Club but said after his final round at Doonbeg on Sunday that he was unsure whether other big names will be in attendance with many preferring to play the Scottish Open the week before The Open.
"I think it's a better date in the calendar," said McIlroy.
"Looks like it won't be this date next year because of Ryder Cup, but I think this date in the calendar has done well for the tournament."
The 2027 tournament will be the K Club's third Irish Open in five years and the final staging of its agreement to host the tournament in 2023, 2025, and 2027.
The FedEx Open de France will be played at Le Golf National the week before the Ryder Cup. The venue hosted the 2018 tournament when Europe emerged victorious. The BMW PGA Championship has also moved in the schedule to the week after the Ryder Cup.

The schedule also includes the return of the Singapore Open from April 15-18, the Open de Portugal from May 13-16, and the Hong Kong Open from October 21-24.
There will be 42 tournaments held in 24 different countries as part of the Race to Dubai in 2027.
