English golfer Marco Penge suspended and fined by DP World Tour for gambling breach

As Penge did not bet on himself or the progress of tournaments during days on which he was playing, the disciplinary panel found that the integrity of events had not been compromised.

Marco Penge has been handed a three-month ban for betting with one month suspended, the DP World Tour has announced.

A statement said an independent disciplinary panel had found that the 26-year-old Englishman had "placed bets on multiple golf events" in a breach of the European Tour's integrity programme.
