Leona Maguire did not make the weekend at the Chevron Championship after missing the cut with world number one Nelly Korda bidding for her fifth straight win after hitting a 69 in round two.

Maguire had a solid start but a second round 76 saw her fall two shots over the cut off finishing with a four-over 76 and missing the cut of the first major of the season.

Maguire started on the tenth with her front and back nines featuring three bogeys to one birdie.

Stephanie Meadow shot a 72 sitting on one-under par seven shots off joint leaders Jin Hee and Atthaya Thitikul who sit on eight under after posting matching scores of 69 and 67 in the opening two rounds.

Korda is one stroke behind the joint leaders after carding a seven-under 69 in the second round. She was one of three players to score two rounds in the 60s alongside the leaders.

Korda won the LPGA Drive On Championship in January and has gone on to win three events in three weeks and should she win this week it would tie her with Annika Sorenstam and Nancy Lopez for most wins in consecutive starts on the LPGA Tour.
