It was a volatile moving day at the 50th Players Championship – just not much, if any, forward progress for the Irish.

Rory McIlroy found a late spark, Shane Lowry fell out of the draft with a level-par effort and Séamus Power posted the highest score on Saturday at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass.
