Padraig Harrington is closing in on his maiden over-50s major win as he takes a five-shot lead into Sunday's final round of the US Seniors Open.

The three-time major winner on the regular tour now knows what it’s like to overpower a golf course. Harrington reached both par 5s in two, hitting 5-wood to 7 feet on the 608-yard 12th hole at Saucon Valley, and his 5-under 66 enabled him to open a sizeable lead going into the final round of the Senior Open.
