Jimenez holds one shot lead while McIlroy crashes out
Miguel Angel Jimenez holds a one-shot lead heading into the third round of the 2013 Open Championship.
The Spaniard will tee-off at Muirfield this afternoon from 3-under par, just ahead of world number one Tiger Woods.
Jimenez will be partnered by Sweden's Henrik Stenson for the day and he said that he is pleased with how his game is shaping up.
Woods and Lee Westwood will be in the penultimate group to tee-off today at 3.10pm.
Rory McIlroy will not be making an appearance in the weekend field - the world number two carded a disappointing 75 yesterday to finish his tournament on 12-over par.
In his absence, 2011 champion Darren Clarke is leading the Irish challenge - he will resume today in a tie for 11th place on one-over par.
Elsewhere, Shane Lowry and Padraig Harrington will both tee-off just before 11am this morning from six-over par while Graeme McDowell will resume his challenge from four-over.
