McIlroy leading in Dubai
Rory Mc Ilroy has taken the outright lead of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic leaderboard on day three of the tournament today.
The US Open champion is 14 under par for the tournament after a birdie on the second this morning pulled him one ahead of Sweden's Thomas Bjorn, with whom he shared the overnight lead..
Lee Westwood wasted little time making his presence felt, after finishing his second-round 65 with three successive birdies yesterday resuming with three more in the first four holes this morning.
It took the world number three also to 13 under par.
Scotland’s Scott Jamieson matched McIlroy’s three at the second and was in joint fourth place on 12 under with Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello.
