Germany’s Martin Kaymer was given the Abu Dhabi Championship trophy to keep today after winning it for the third time in four years – by a runaway eight-shot margin over Rory McIlroy.

Germany’s Martin Kaymer was given the Abu Dhabi Championship trophy to keep today after winning it for the third time in four years – by a runaway eight-shot margin over Rory McIlroy.

Kaymer moves to world number two ahead of Tiger Woods as a result and, with Lee Westwood in top spot, Europeans hold the top two positions for the first time since Nick Faldo and Bernhard Langer were there in 1993.
