Woods aiming to recover from worst finish

Struggling Tiger Woods will seek to bounce back from his worst tournament finish as a professional at the US PGA Championship this week and resurrect his Ryder Cup chances.

Woods retained his world number one ranking ahead of the fourth major of the year at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin, despite finishing joint 78th in the 80-man field at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio yesterday.
