Padraig Harrington will take a four-stroke lead into tomorrow’s final round of the Irish PGA Championship, the event he has won for the last two years, immediately before capturing The Open.

Harrington’s two-over-par 73 at the European Club near Dublin today dropped him to two under, but closest overnight challenger Leslie Walker suffered the recurrence of a wrist injury and was forced to retire after nine holes.

England’s Simon Thornton is in second place.
