Lowry makes slow start as Lawrie leads in Wales

With none of the fanfare and spotlight that surrounded his professional debut last week, Irish Open champion Shane Lowry was looking to make more of an impact in the Wales Open starting at Celtic Manor today.

But Lowry, only the third amateur to win a European Tour event, was one over par and three off the lead after his opening four holes.
