Stars set for Bahrain event

Colin Montgomerie, new US Tour sensation Camilo Villegas and ex-US Open champions Retief Goosen and Michael Campbell are to compete in an 18-hole skins event in Bahrain next month to mark the completion of the new Montgomerie-designed championship golf course.

More than £140,000 (€177,500) prize money will be at stake in the match, with the sums being donated to the players’ nominated charities.

Steve Redgrave, Boris Becker and Kapil Dev are also taking part in a pro-am during the three-day event.
