Formula One Grand Prix organisers in Bahrain say they will not pursue plans to stage the rescheduled event in October.

THE ill-fated Bahrain Grand Prix has been dealt the final blow after Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone admitted it could not go ahead without the support of the teams.

Colin Montgomerie, new US Tour sensation Camilo Villegas and ex-US Open champions Retief Goosen and Michael Campbell are to compete in an 18-hole skins event in Bahrain next month to mark the completion of the new Montgomerie-designed championship golf course.
