Montgomerie hit by stomach bug

Colin Montgomerie, one of the main attractions at this week’s Wales Open at Celtic Manor, was nowhere to be seen during today’s curtain-raising pro-am.

But Montgomerie, laid low by a stomach bug, did not miss much. Heavy rain forced an abandonment after just a few holes.
