McGinley in danger of missing cut in Singapore
Ireland's Paul McGinley is in danger of missing the cut at the Singapore Open after finishing his opening round on five over par today.
McGinley is currently two shots below the projected cut and nine behind leaders Juvic Pagunsan and Scott Strange.
His Ryder Cup team-mate, Lee Westwood, also carded a disappointing 73 to finish the opening day in a tie for 47th place.
Meanwhile, English duo Robert Coles and Anthony Wall are leading on day one of the European Masters today.
The pair are both on five under par, one shot clear of the field.
David Higgins was best of the Irish competitors on level par after 17 holes, while Damien McGrane was one over after six and Peter Lawrie and Graeme McDowell were both three over after four.
Stephen Browne finished his round on two over par, while Gary Murphy finished up on 10 over.
