Jeong Jang carded a six-under-par 66 to take a three-shot lead after the third round of the LPGA Corning Classic in New York.

Jang, who began the day two shots behind Virada Nirapathpongporn, took over the lead with a round that included seven birdies and one bogey.

Her round tied fellow Korean Seon Hwa Lee for the lowest of the day.

“I’m going to be nervous because I’m going to be a couple of shots leading,” said Jang, who is at 15-under on 201. “I like to be behind, but that’s OK.”

Nirapathpongporn (71) ended the day tied for second alongside Nancy Scranton (70) and Brandie Burton (70).
