Fernandez-Costano wins BMW Asian Open after play-off

Gonzalo Fernandez-Costano has won golf's BMW Asian Open after a play-off.

Henrik Stenson had finished level with Fernandez-Costano at the top of the leaderboard on seven-under-par.

Fernandez-Costano, however, won his second European Tour title with a birdie four on the first extra hole trumping Stenson’s par.

Colin Montgomerie and Jose-Filipe Lima tied for third on six-under.

Peter Lawrie was best of the Irish at joint 13th on -1.

David Higgins finished two-over-par.
