Sweden’s Joakim Backstrom won the Aa St Omer in northern France with a par at the first play-off hole to defeat England's Paul Dwyer.

Sweden’s Joakim Backstrom won the Aa St Omer in northern France with a par at the first play-off hole to defeat England's Paul Dwyer.

Dwyer had a two-foot putt for par on the first green but dragged it wide and the 27-year-old Backstrom holed from inside that range to claim a one-year exemption on the main tour for winning this co-sanctioned event between the European and Challenge Tours.
