Monty to avoid canvassing for Ryder captaincy

Ryder Cup hero Colin Montgomerie would like to captain the team in 2010 - but only if he is asked.

The Scot has played in seven Ryder Cups, finishing on the successful side four times, but he is a prime candidate to lead the team when the event is staged at Celtic Manor in Wales in six years' time.
