Monty retains 'huge ambition'

Colin Montgomerie begins the defence of his Caltex Masters in Singapore tomorrow but he has set his sights this year on making a bigger impact around the world.

The Scot thrust himself back into the limelight by holing the winning putt at the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills last September but, that apart, 2004 was a less than memorable year for him.
