Finalists locked together
Ernie Els, chasing a record sixth win on his 35th birthday, and Lee Westwood, seeking his second victory, were all square after nine holes of their 36-hole final in the HSBC World Match Play championship at Wentworth.
Els took the lead first when his opponent began by driving into the trees but the South African did the same on the third and then, after both players had eagled the long fourth, fell two down with further bogeys at the fifth and sixth.
