Monty considering Ryder retirement

Colin Montgomerie is considering calling time on his Ryder Cup playing career to succeed Bernhard Langer as captain.

Although a lack of scoreboards meant he did not realise it at the time, Montgomerie holed the winning putt at Oakland Hills as Europe secured a record 18 1/2 to 9 1/2 victory over the United States.
