Lee Westwood tonight beat Kenny Perry to ensure Europe retained the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills.

Westwood’s win took Europe to 13 and a half points and with Colin Montgomerie assured of at least a half in the following match with David Toms, the cup was certain to remain in European hands.
