A motorcyclist was airlifted to Cork University Hospital (CUH) following a collision involving a van in Co Wexford on Tuesday afternoon.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at Fairfield on the Enniscorthy to Monart road at around 4pm.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was airlifted to CUH, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Gardaí have carried out a technical examination of the scene, and the road has since fully reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage from the Enniscorthy to Monart road between 3.40pm and 4.10pm, are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
