Captain's cake treat for Ryder team

Bernhard Langer’s mother is playing her part in the build-up to next week’s Ryder Cup – by providing the recipe to her son’s favourite dish.

Her Black Forest gateau will be served to the team on board the Virgin flight to Detroit next Monday – as will a game pie with ingredients from all the countries represented.
