Ryder Cup hopefuls Ian Poulter and Paul McGinley made steady starts in their bids to overhaul leader Richard Green in the KLM Open in Holland.

The pair, playing together for the third successive day at the Hilversumsche Golf Club, both parred the opening two holes to remain at six under – six shots behind Green who had yet to start.
