Monty not in Major league

Colin Montgomerie had it brought home to him in a somewhat cruel way today that, for all he has achieved in golf, he is still not in the major league.

Entering the press interview room at Royal Troon, where the British Open begins on Thursday, Montgomerie sat down, picked up the pen that was there and went to sign his name on the top of the table in front of him.
