Goosen cruises to victory in European Open

Two weeks after winning the US Open – and in his first appearance since then - Retief Goosen comfortably added the Smurfit European Open at the K Club near Dublin today.

One ahead overnight, Goosen did not drop a stroke in a seemingly effortless closing 68 for a 13 under par total of 275 – one better than the total he had predicted might earn the €500,000 first prize.
