Play suspended after confusion at US Open

Play was suspended for 20 minutes in the US Open today – after officials had to agree that the green at the short seventh had crossed the line and was unfair.

The hole has caused controversy all week, with Ernie Els calling it “unplayable” and “ridiculous” after his third round.
