Haeggman claims Wentworth lead
It was a fast-changing leaderboard when the final round of the Volvo PGA championship began at Wentworth today.
Argentina’s Angel Cabrera led by one overnight, but his three opening pars allowed Swede Joakim Haeggman, England’s Justin Rose and South African Darren Fichardt to grab at least a share of top spot.
Cabrera then eagled the long fourth, but when he followed that with a bogey Haeggman led by one at 14 under from Cabrera and Fichardt, while Rose’s bogey at the fifth dropped him three behind.
Dane Anders Hansen was out in 32 and then pitched in for an eagle two on the 11th. It took the 2002 winner to 12 under and joint fourth with Scotland’s Scott Drummond.
Rose was alongside Ernie Els, Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn.
