Faldo facing early exit

Nick Faldo’s already dwindling hopes of a record 12th Ryder Cup cap suffered a further blow at the Forest of Arden today as he headed out of the British Masters at the halfway stage.

Faldo stood a sorry joint 152nd of the 156 players after three bogeys in the first seven holes of his second round left him six over par – 14 strokes behind new leader Trevor Immelman.
