Holder Tiger Woods turned on the style to take total command of the American Express World Championship in Atlanta today – as Darren Clarke only just avoided the worst score of his professional career.

Woods, two behind Sergio Garcia at the start of the second round, went to the turn in an almost unbelievable 31 and birdied the 466-yard last for the second day running for a seven-under-par halfway total of 133.
