Lafeber leads on the links

Dutchman Maarten Lafeber became the surprise leader of the Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews today when he went to the turn in his final round in a dazzling 31.

Chasing the first European Tour victory of his career – one worth £490,000 - Lafeber charged to 17 under par, one ahead of world number two Ernie Els and overnight leader Lee Westwood.
