Higgins takes early lead in Limerick
Kerryman David Higgins has taken the early lead at the Irish PGA Championship after carding a four-under-par opening-round 68 at Adare Manor in Limerick yesterday.
Higgins, who shot six birdies in his last eight holes yesterday, is currently one shot clear of
Dundalk's Cathal Barry.
Defending champion Paul McGinley is tied for third place on one under par with last year’s runner up, John Dwyer, former British amateur champion Michael Hoey, Co Limerick’s Donal Sweeney and Headfort’s Brendan McGovern.
