Padraig Harrington finally shook off his early season rust to top the leaderboard at the prestigious Players Championship – golf’s unofficial fifth major – in Florida today.

The Ryder Cup Dubliner stood nine under par after 11 holes of his second round, two ahead of defending champion Craig Perks and former winner Davis Love.
