Murphy, Minihane the toast of Bandon

John Murphy and Carol Minihane are the toast of Bandon Golf Club after hoisting the Munster representatives into tomorrow's final of the BMW All-Ireland mixed foursomes at Belvoir Park.

In the semi-finals, Bandon squeezed past Lisburn by the odd match in five with Murphy and Minihane clinching victory in a tie-hole shootout.

They had the chance of victory on the home green but Minihane's putt from six feet for birdie lipped out giving Lisburn a half.

At the 19th, Lisburn's Matt Lyness and Lesley Allen were in sand twice on their way to the green and made double-bogey six.

The Bandon pair were on the green in three shots and got down with two putts to win the match and

give their team a place in the final.

Bandon will meet Laytown & Bettystown who won four of the five matches against Enniscrone.

The other one was called in all square.
