Ankle injury hampers Harrington’s USPGA challenge

Ireland’s Padraig Harrington is battling an ankle problem as he continues his quest for his first major title at the USPGA Championship in Hazeltine.

The Dubliner carded a one-under-par 71 in yesterday’s opening round to finish three shots off the lead held by Jim Furyk and Fred Funk. The score also left him tied in 11th place with world number one Tiger Woods, who is hoping to add the championship title to his victories in the US Masters and US Open earlier this season.
