18 Europeans to compete in US Open
A total of 18 Europeans are in the line-up for next week's US Open.
Britain's Luke Donald, French pair Thomas Levet and Jean Van de Velde, and Swede Per-Ulrik Johansson succeeded in the final qualifying tournaments this week.
Donald shot a 10-under-par total of 133 to make it through in Maryland, while Van de Velde and Johansson earned spots in New York (Johansson after a play-off). Levet was second in Atlanta.
Already exempt were Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke, Niclas Fasth, Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, David Howell, Robert Karlsson, Bernhard Langer, Paul Lawrie, Paul McGinley, Colin Montgomerie, Jose Maria Olazabal and Jesper Parnevik.
Nick Faldo received a special invitation a week ago.
The tee times for the first two rounds will be announced on Thursday.
