Tiger Woods’ third straight win at the US PGA Tour Bay Hill Invitational ended a six-month win drought and means he has now been world number one for 136 consecutive weeks.

Michael Campbell’s final round of 71 saw him seal second place in Orlando and he moves up 13 places to 20th in the official world rankings.

Adam Scott’s second victory on the European Tour, this time at the Qatar Masters, has seen him move to 50th position, a leap of 12 places, and with it a berth at this week’s Players Championship.

In the first tournament on the 2002 Japan Golf Tour, Toshimitsu Izawa won the Token Corporation Cup from Hirofumi Miyase and Toshimitsu is now 21st in the world.

Peter O’Malley continued his good form in 2002 to win the Holden Clearwater Classic a co-sanctioned event between the Australasian Tour and the BUY.com tour, moving up to world number 65 in the process.
