Golf: Lomas takes lead at ANZ Championship

England’s Jonathon Lomas has taken the lead at the ANZ Championship in Sydney after carding the best round of his European Tour career this morning.

Lomas’ nine-under-par 64 translated to 20 points under the modified stableford system and gave him a five-point lead over France’s Raphael Jacquelin.

The 33-year-old Englishman carded eight birdies, worth two points each, and an eagle on the 17th worth five more. One point was docked for a bogey on the 12th.
