Golf: Gonzles sets early pace in German Masters

Ricardo Gonzalez is setting the early pace on the opening day of the

Linde German Masters.

The Argentian, who won his first European Tour title last month,

currently lies on six under after 14, with four birdies and an eagle on

the third.

Sweden’s Jarmo Sandelin and England’s Roger Winchester are tied for

second - they are currently two shots behind on four under.

Ireland’s Des Smyth is tied in fourth on three under after 12, while

Padraig Harrington is two under after 14.
