Mist and fog has delayed the start of the Scottish PGA Championships at Gleneagles.

Mist and fog has delayed the start of the Scottish PGA Championships at Gleneagles.

The first round was due to begin at 7.30am but it was impossible to start play with visibility down to a few yards on some points of the course.

With conditions improving officials were hopeful of getting under way quickly enough to be able to complete the first round on schedule.
