Three players with just one European tour title between them lead the way with a round to go in the Compass Group English Open at the Forest of Arden.

Twenty-year-old Australian Adam Scott, winner of the Alfred Dunhill championship in Johannesburg in January, had a 30-foot eagle putt on the long 17th to thank for the two-stroke advantage he holds over South African Jean Hugo and Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin.
