Singapore Masters: Harrington drops back

Padraig Harrington was unable to capitalize on his good start to the third round of the Singapore Masters.

The Irishman began the third day five shots off the lead, but early on Harrington battled back and managed to reduce his deficit to three shots by the turn.

However, when he dropped a shot on the par five 13th he suddenly found himself six shots off the lead.

Vijay Singh and Frankie Minoza jointly hold the lead on 18 under par, Singh chipping in for a birdie on the ninth and then rolling in a 30-foot putt for eagle on the 13th while Minoza birdied the 10th and 13th.

The pair enjoyed a four shot lead over Mikael Lundberg with three players a shot further back on 13 under including Warren Bennett, who had also eagled the 13th only to three putt the next for a bogey.

That was as far as the players could get before play was suspended at 3.30pm local time due to the threat of lightning in the area with a possible thunderstorm approaching the Singapore Island Country Club.
