The 29-year-old West Waterford golfer won the United Leasing and Finance Championship on the PGA Tour’s equivalent of Europe’s Challenge Tour after the third-round leaders failed to match the 12-under-par target he had set with a closing bogey-free, five-under 67 at Victoria National in Indiana.

It was enough for Power to win by a shot from US trio Cody Gribble, Adam Schenk, and Jonathan Randolph to claim a winner’s cheque for $108,000 (€93,950) and leap to number seven on the Web.com Tour money list.
