Harrington shot a final round six-under par 67, his lowest of the week, to finish tied sixth at the 2016 Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii..

The highlight was his birdie on the 11th after he had come close to a stunning hole in one.

Harrington picked up prize money of $202,333 (€185,700) for his efforts on the Pacific island.

He also jumped up 102 spots to projected 75th place in the FedEx Cup points race.

Graeme McDowell finished tied 29th after shooting a final round of 71.

Harrington and McDowell will tee it up at the Sony Open in Honolulu on Thursday.
