O’Driscoll fired a three-under-par 71 but with five holes to play it looked like being considerably better than that — she actually dropped four strokes on the closing stretch and is four strokes adrift of leader Olivia Winning from Rotherham.

Former Irish champion Paula Grant of Lisburn is not far behind on 73, with Castleroy’s Chloe Ryan (75) and Amy Farrell of Moate (76) just behind.
