Brotherton takes up role at Killarney

LADIES GOLF is set to get a boost in the Munster area with the appointment of Kelly Brotherton as trainee assistant professional in the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club.

Brotherton has joined the club’s professional team following an illustrious amateur career. The Scot has a host of titles to her name, notably claiming the Scottish U21 Championship when she was only 15 to become the youngest ever winner. At 17, she won a scholarship at the David Leadbetter Academy in Florida, and was subsequently recruited by Colorado State University before transferring to the University of Tennessee.

She will be trained by head professional David Keating who will be assisted by head assistant professional Billy O’Boyle.
